California Creates Housing-Focused Agency | Planetizen News
It was interesting to read that the state of California is adding a new agency – just for housing and homelessness services. Currently housing is a part of a much larger group and does not get as much focus, which has been an issue.
I started a non-profit that supports homeless and sustainable improvements to low-income housing, so this article really caught my eye.
Apparently, this is “just the first step” in a much-needed reorganization of the state’s housing resources.
This change will also simplify Californias affordable housing financing systems.
One of the changes that will occur is that affordable housing developers must approach to apply for loans, grants, tax credits, and other incentives.
