I learned the importance of urban design – the intentionality of looking wholistically at a city and designing with the larger picture in mind.

I enjoyed that this research talked about sustainable urban design which takes urban design one step further by also making urban living more environmentally sustainable. This can make cities more attractive to those looking to live in a environmentally friendly area.

I also learned about physical arrangements and spatial organization – Spatial organization is the structure of cities that are influenced by social, economic, technological, and cultural factors. This leads to noticeable patterns.
