Today I spent some time reading about sustainability and the role it can play in the design of cities and towns. It was interesting to read that “Cities account for more than 70% of global energy-related CO2 emissions and an estimated 50% of global waste, and are home to nearly half of the world’s population.” Cities have a huge impact on our world, but sustainable design can provide ways to help with reducing the impacts on the environment.
